Funeral services for Mr. Edgar Smith will be on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive), Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek. Bro. Alvin Lyons will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 1 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mr. Smith, 84, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on April 27, 1934 in Lucien, MS, to Ernest and Winnie Lofton Smith. He enjoyed sitting on the bench at Walmart while watching people and gardening or any yard work. He was a loving uncle, brother, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Annie Pearl Smith; special friend, Ernestine Conn; nephews, Ernie Smith and Cory Smith; brother-in-law, Clayton Smith.

Survivors are his brother, Carrol Smith and wife Mary Frances; his sister, Gladys Smith; and a host of family and friends.
