Funeral services for Mr. Earl Houston Brown will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, October 28 at 11:00 AM.  Bro. Mr. Brown, 91, of Bogue Chitto, MS passed from this life on October 25, 2024. He was born on December 21, 1932 in Natchez, Mississippi. He loved the Lord and  prayed for his family and extended family every day; he was a faithful member of Johnston Station Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, worked to establish the church cemetery, and faithfully and gladly supported missions. Until the end of his life he took every opportunity to witness to others about Jesus Christ.
As a boy, Mr. Earl learned to work on the farm with his father – picking cotton, growing sweet potatoes, and milking cows by hand; he was very active in 4-H as a young man and continued to help his father in farming beef cattle. A hard worker, Mr. Earl operated a dairy farm for 53 years with the help of his children; he also had a gravel business and worked at some other supportive occupations. He was a devoted son and a loving husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenzia and Eula Clark Brown; his wife, LaVerne Brown; and one son, Byron Earl Brown; as well as two grandchildren, John Albritton and Melissa Wallace; and a brother, Bill Brown.

Survivors include his four children; Judith Lea (David), Rita Bobkoskie (Edward), Leslie Albritton (Mike), and Lewis Brown; grandchildren, Shane Lofton (Destiny), Bryson Lofton (Keesha), Danathon Lofton, Amber Moyers (Colin), Bryant Brown, Lori Brown, Todd Brown, Lindsey Maxwell (Jacob), Lacie Gennaro (Chip), Bridget Crawford (Logan); numerous great and great-great grandchildren, along with extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Franklin County Hospital, King's Daughters Clinic, Accent Home Health, and Deaconess Hospice for all the support and love that they gave to both him and his family.
