Tony, a resident of Lincoln County, passed from this life on March 4, 2023, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County on May 15, 1953, to George and Annie Maude Carlisle Smith, and spent his life in the East Lincoln community. Tony was veteran of the United States Army and worked as and was a very talented welder; he had an incredible ability to build anything he wanted with his own two hands, doing by himself what would normally take a crew of men. When he wasn't working, he loved spending his time fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin Michael Smith; four brothers, Terry Smith, Timmy Martin, Roy Lynn Martin, and Kim Lambert; and one sister, Deborah Persche.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Tracey Howell (Jay) of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Bennett Case, Tansley Case, Landon Howell, Nathan Howell, Hayden Howell, Halley Smith, and Palyn Smith. He also leaves behind one brother, Orville Martin (Charlotte) and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including a special friend, Margie Parsons.
