Funeral services for Dorothy L. Nettles will be on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Lance Moak will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 1100 AM until service time.

Mrs. Nettles, 92, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Diversicare of Brookhaven.  She was born on November 23, 1929, in Lincoln County, MS, to Hosea and Ruthie Brown. She was a member of Central Baptist Church; worked for many years in sales for Lott Furniture Company; and enjoyed going fishing, camping, going to ball games, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Norman Nettles; sisters, Mavis Brown and Vera Gillis; and grandson, Brad Britt.

Survivors are her daughter, Deborah Wallace and husband Climon, and son, Greg Nettles and wife Gina; brother-in-law, Jimmie Gillis; grandchildren, Chris Wallace and wife Honor, Cody Wallace and wife Jana, and Jeff Britt and wife Teresa;  great-grandchildren, Brandon Britt and wife Jessica, Dustin Britt, Nathan Britt, Casey Wallace and wife Liz, Carly Beth Wallace and Charly Ana Wallace; 2 great great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Brandon Britt, Dustin Britt, Nathan Britt, Casey Wallace, Carly Beth Wallace, and Charly Ana Wallace.
