A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 for Ms. Dorothy Faye Cupit at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Franklin County, MS. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the service.

Dorothy Faye Cupit, 82, was born on November 5, 1942, in Franklin County, Mississippi to Cyrus Henry Cupit and Edith Coleman Cupit. She died September 17, 2025, in the Meadville Convalescent Home, Meadville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers- Lloyd, James, Harold, and Claud.

She is survived by her brothers, Carl (Audrey) of Meadville, Bobby (Madonna) of Silsbee, Texas, and Gerald (Donnis) of Monticello, MS. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Doris of Forest, MS and Susie of Eddiceton, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

For many years, Dorothy lived with her mother in Brookhaven where they attended the First Assembly of God. Family members recall Dorothy's gentle demeanor, love for laughter, enjoying new experiences and adventures, and always being eager for social interaction and she loved and was loved by many people.

The family wishes to extend thanks to all those who thoughtfully nursed and attended Dorothy at both Meadville Convalescent Home and Franklin County Memorial Hospital as well as past personal care givers, Sue Malone and Cathy Dunn. A very special thanks is owed Dr. Kimberly Estes for her professional care and helping us "carry Dorothy's books." We are very thankful for her help!
