Funeral Services for Mrs. Diane Marie Lindsey Jett will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home, located at 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven , MS 39601. Visitation be begin at 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home. We will then proceed to Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 8081 Martinsville Road, Wesson, MS 39191.

Mrs. Diane Marie was born on February 24, 1960 to Fred Lee and Barbara Arabie Lindsey Sr. She was born in Marrero, Louisiana. She spent most of her youth there before moving to Wesson, MS and eventually settling in Brookhaven, MS.

Diane was the second of seven children in a close nit family. She enjoyed dance classes and gymnastics as a young girl. She grew up having a fierce fighting spirit and was a force to be reckoned with. Especially if you messed with her siblings.

Diane spent her later years as a hard worker, loving wife, tough love mama, and spoiling her grands. Diane worked many years in Brookhaven. She owned a convenience store, managed Murphy's Gas for 15 years, and spent her final years managing Dirt Cheap, where she loved finding deals and helping customers find deals.

Diane married her husband, Darrell Jett, in February of 1995. They liked to dance in the kitchen, listen to that swaying music. They built a life together and enjoyed many years of family, fun, and great memories.

The thing Diane was most proud of was her children. She was honest and stern with them. She'd tell them when they were wrong but she was always on their side. They knew if they messed up mom still had their backs! She loved them more than anything –except—her mawmaw's babies. Her grand and great grandchildren. She always had a baby with her. She enjoyed these babies so much. And they knew mawmaw loved them.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fred Lee Linsdey, Sr.; and  three grandchildren, Tasia Jett-Ogden, Anthony Tanner III, and Kevontay Jett.

Diane is survived by her husband, Darrell Jett; her mother, Barbara Arabie Lindsey; Children, Danielle Orgeron (Louis), Danny Burgess (Casey), Eric Burgess (Heather), Brandy Stewart (Antoine), Olivia Jett (Michael), Kionna Jett (Wendell),Thuan Jett, Tamika Jett, Yannick Jett; siblings, Robin Taylor, Kirby Lindsey, Fred Lindsey Jr, John Lindsey (Emily), Mark Lindsey, Lisa Woodall (Landon); and  23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Bristol Hospice. They have been a blessing in the most difficult time. Also a thank you to all who have prayed for her and the family over this last two and a half years on this tough journey.
