Funeral services for Delton Lamar Moak will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Moak's Creek Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, MS, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the Moak's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Moak's Creek Baptist Church from 2:00 PM till 3:00 PM.
Mr. Moak, 86, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. He was born on June 27, 1935, in Bogue Chitto, MS, to Julius Moak and Zelma Mae Wallace Moak. He was a member of Moak's Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Moak worked for many years as a store manager for Ace Rental Tools. He also was a cattle farmer and grew and sold watermelons. Mr. Moak enjoyed fishing and hunting and most importantly his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all those whom he met.
Preceding him in death were his parents Julius and Zelma Mae Moak; his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Wallace Moak; brothers Elder Ray "Bud" Moak (Faye), Dennis Moak (Betty) and Delos Moak (Geneva).
Survivors are his children, Clifton L. Moak (Janella), Donna Wallace (Loyd), Malinda Moak Wimberly, and Craig Steven Moak (Melinda); grandchildren, Shannan Wimberly (Montana), Brittney Moak, Steven Moak, Nathan Wallace, Stanley Wallace (Jonie), John S. Wallace (Gingerlyn), Barrett Wallace (Ashley), Rebecca Benson (Jeremy), Alisha M. Cichirillo (Steven); great-grandchildren, Harper, Maggie and Wilder Wimberly, Cooper Wallace, Kipton Wallace, Justus Wallace, Jadon Wallace, Gentri Wallace, Lanie Johnson, Ada Claire Wallace, Berkley Wallace, John Clifton Benson, Caiden Cichirillo, Sawyer Cichirillo and Bo Cichirillo; brother James Moak (Sue) and sister Malissia Sasser (Bert); and a host of family and friends.
