Ms. Debra W. Cauthen, 64, of Wesson, Mississippi, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, on January 10, 1962, to James Thomas and Catherine Stephens Westrope.

Funeral services will be held at Rocky Hill Baptist Church (Wesson, MS), on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 11 o’clock in the morning; the family will receive visitors at the church on the same morning from 10 o’clock until time of service. Graveside services will take place in the Westrope Cemetery (Hazlehurst, MS).

Debra was so loving and caring; she loved all of her family dearly, and her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death her parents; and by a grandson, Bryan “Bubba” Davy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her significant other, Robert Whaples; daughters, Missy Munn (Tony), Mary Moore (Brooks), Merceydys Neal; son, Joey Davy (Mindy); sister, Renee McCardle (Chris); brothers, Jim Westrope (Melinda), Tommy Westrope (Lauren), Elbert Westrope (Kim), and Bryan Westrope (Tina); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
