Graveside services for David R. Norton will be on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Hillcrest Church of Christ in Brookhaven, MS at 1:30 PM with burial to follow in the cemetery. Bro. John Smith will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Mr. Norton, 85, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, August 23, 2018, at VA Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born on April 3, 1933 in Lincoln County, MS, to James E. Norton and Eunice Smith Norton. He served his country as Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years in Korea and England. Mr. Norton was retired as a professional truck driver with Jacobsen Mfg. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Eunice Norton; sister, Maxine (Ernest) Kimble; and brother, James Edwin Norton.

Survivors are his nephew, Randy Kimble (Janet); Nieces, Dianne (Nick) Rials and Brenda Pound; and special companion and caregiver Jan Woodward.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his neighbors Willie and Roger Diggs and Patricia Case, as well as special friends Sandy and Jerry Smith.
