Family gathering and memorial service for David E. Applewhite will be on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at New Salem Baptist Church in McCall Creek, MS 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. David E. Applewhite, 53, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at his residence in McCall Creek, MS. He was born on May 18, 1963 in Natchez, MS, to Melvin and Mildred Fortenberry Applewhite. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a loving son, brother, dad, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Melvin and Mildred Fortenberry Applewhite.

Survivors are his daughter, Trista Applewhite of Granville, WV; sisters, Lisa M. Taylor of Norco, LA, and Shari Applewhite Mancuso and husband Nic of McComb, MS; 4 grandchildren; special friend, Mary A. Case; and a host of family and friends.
