Funeral services for Daisy Elois Warren will be on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS, at 12:00 Noon with burial to follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Landon Smith will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Philadelphia Baptist Church on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Mrs. Warren, 88, of Union Church, MS, passed from this life on Monday, October 3, 2022, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born on January 1, 1934, in Union Church, MS, to Major Lessing and Winnie Lee Furr Lessing. She was an active member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She worked for many years with her husband Fred on a dairy farm in Caseyville. Miss Daisy enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents Major and Winnie Lee Lessing; husband Fred Warren; her in-laws Fred Sr. and Mary Warren; son Fred William Warren; and daughter-in-law Cindy Warren.
Survivors are her children, Ray Warren, Jean Strait (Danny) and Freda Warren; grandchildren, Michelle Laird (Chad), Brad Strait (Sarah), Jason Warren (Lana), Ouida Carwyle (Chris), Scotty Jergins and Abby Jergins; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brantley Laird, Will, Cody, Brady and Dylan Strait, Brice and Brittney Loftin, Lily, Wednesday, Allie Raye, Aubrey, Maylee and Jaxon Warren, Cameron and Shelby Carwyle, and Kooper Jergins; brother Kenneth Lessing (Charlotte); and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff at the MS Baptist Medical Center also to all the many friends and family members who reached out and expressed their love and sympathy.
