Funeral services for Mr. Cullen Clifton "Bobo" Crosby, Jr. will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (Bogue Chitto, MS) on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 12 o'clock noon; the family will receive visitors at the church on the same morning from 10 o'clock until time of services. Graveside services will be held in the Calvary Baptist Church cemetery. 

Bobo was born February 22, 1939, to Cullen, Sr. and Julia Mae Crosby. He entered into eternity on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Proceeding him in death are his parents and his mother-in-law Ruby Lofton, his eldest son Richard Crosby, and grandson Matthew Magee, his sisters Ouida Faye Strait, Barbara Jean Leggett and Patsy Roberts, and brothers Donald Crosby and Garland Crosby, sister-in-law Kay Lofton, brother-in-law Floyd Grice, and niece Dawn Lofton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 and a half years, Dolores Lofton Crosby, children Connie Graves (Vince), Steve Crosby (Melane), and Brad Crosby (DeAnn), his grandchildren Johnny Magee (Rusti), Laken Van Norman (Kason), Kaylie Boyd (Thomas), Shelby Reid and Allie Grace Crosby and his great-grandchildren Fayth Marie DeHart (Casen), Noah and Neeli Magee, Remlie and Logan Magee, Rhett, Brant, and Ruby Van Norman, Bo and Eliza Lane Boyd, Kysen and Piper Reid, and he was anticipating meeting Ella Bradley Crosby and Baby Earls next spring. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Shirley Grice, sisters-in-law Shirley Crosby and Charlene Crosby, brothers-in-law Jimmy Lofton and Danny Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobo worked at Jacobson-Homelight for over 30 years and for MDOT 16 years before retiring. He did not talk a lot about his faith, but set an example by living it out for all to see by the way he was always ready to lend a neighbor a hand, always taking care of others before they asked, and always thinking about how he could make things better or easier for Dolores and the family. Bobo leaned heavily on the Lord through the losses of Richard and Matthew and in these last few years as his health declined and he became limited in what he could do.

He was an avid outdoorsman when he was younger, and Bobo shared his love of fishing and all of the different hunting seasons with his three boys as they grew up. He was the family fix-it-man, and could repair almost anything and everything from a weed-eater to a broken water pipe to deer stand with the bits and pieces of random materials he collected over the years. Bobo was the car and tire inspector for all his girls, making sure to remind them to tell their husbands or daddies it was time for new tires or an oil change. Bobo always planted a big garden, but in the last few years he made do with planting some tomatoes and a few cucumbers behind the house.

He enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels or resting in his recliner watching old westerns and Nascar, usually wearing his Dickies cover-alls. Most of all, Bobo loved spending time visiting, playing and picking with the grands and great-grands. He was probably their favorite person. They loved him and they all knew he loved them, too. He will be greatly missed by many.
