Funeral services for Cooper James Newell will be on Monday, April 1, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Red Star Ward) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Red Star Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bishop Randall Sones will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will also be on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the church from 10:00 AM till the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Cooper Newell of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 9, 2011 in Brookhaven, MS, to Lee Newell and Nicole Sones Newell. He enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Survivors are his parents, Lee and Nicole Newell of Wesson, MS; brother, William Newell; grandparents Stacey and Wendy Newell and Jimmy and Carla Sones; and a host of family and friends.
