Funeral services for Clyde Allen will be on Monday December 27 2021, 10:00AM at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS with burial to follow at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Dr. Garland Boyd will officiate the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, December 26 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Mr. Clyde Allen of Brookhaven, MS passed this life on December 23, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side.  He was born on January 29, 1939, in Brookhaven MS, to Walter and Elmer Allen. Clyde or as some called him, "Sharpie" worked as a carpenter for many years.   Clyde never met a stranger and knew almost everyone, if you don't believe it you just had go to Wal-Mart with him and you would have seen truer words have  never spoken.  Clyde's most prized possession was his wife Marylin who preceded him in death.  He was once asked what kept him going after losing loving wife and he said without a doubt it was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who he loved with all he had.  Clyde was a truly loving person caring for his many nieces and nephews and friends of the family.  As his nephew Nelson put it; He loved Jesus, He adored his wife Marylin, He loved his kids and grandkids and he loved me. What Nelson was trying to say is; what I'll remember about Clyde is that he loved completely, without condition and without reservation, he loved, I can't think of a better thing to be remembered by!

Preceding him in death his wife Marylin: children Fran Lea:  granddaughter Stephanie Nevels; parents; Walter and Elmer Allen; brothers Cecil and Alvin Allen.

Survivors are his children; Daughter: Olivia and husband Kenny, Daughter: Letha, Son: Derold , Son: Evans and wife Mechell,  Daughter: Dee Dee, Son: Warren and wife Cindy;  siblings, Eloise Walker and Clinton Allen; grandchildren, Adam, Lacey, David, Tiffany, Alex, Brittany, Hanna, Will, Chance, Sky;  great-grandchildren,  Avery, Cade, Blake, Brantley, Stephanie, Addison,  Jaxson,  Kinsley,  Ava Joyce and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are; Timmy Lea, Alex Lea, Nelson Thames, Mike Smith, Mike Lambert, Martin Carder. Honorary Pallbearers are Clinton Allen, Kenny Smith.
