Cloy "Dennis" James, 80, of Stronghope community, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, August 15th, 2024. He was a loving, caring and compassionate person that loved his family, friends and community. He loved spending time outdoors, whether he was on his tractor, watching the deer or sitting on the porch.

Dennis was born June 6th, 1944, here in the Stronghope community to the late Leroy and Coralie Elkins James. He was preceded in death by his brother Shelby "Dynamite" and his stepson Wade. Those left to cherish his memory include Deborah "Debbie", Ronnie (Terry), Karla (Piotr), Lauren (Tommy), Sterling, Marleigh, Molly, Mady, Alex, Harold "Sach" (Jane), Sandra, Jerry (Pat), Daryl (Jane), Johnny (Mercy), Cheryl and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A memorial service will be held at 6:40 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Stronghope Baptist Church. A time of visitation will precede the memorial service from 6:00 until time of service at 6:40.
