Funeral services for Clifton Earl Rushing will be on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the graveside in Union Church Cemetery, Union Church MS, at 3:00 PM.  Bro. Billy Joe Deer will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rushing, 82, of Union Church, MS, passed from this life on Friday, February 3, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side.  He was born on April 27, 1940, in Newellton, LA, to Claude and Ola Mae Rushing.  He was a member of Union Church Baptist Church; worked for many years as a pipe fitter and welder; and enjoyed outdoor activities.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 48 years, Jo Alice Segrest Rushing; sisters, Mamie Lee Morgan and Lucille Du'Conge; and brothers, Hubert Rushing, Robert Frank Rushing, Melvin Rushing, and John Rushing.

Survivors are his sons, Jeff Rushing (Evelyn), Clifton Rushing, Jr. (Donna), Kevin Rushing (Belinda), and Victor Rushing; sisters, Mary Katherine Michaelson and Patsy Adkerson; brother, James E (Ed) Rushing; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
