Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Jackson Howard will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Monday, January 13 at 10 o'clock in the morning, with burial to follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Bogue Chitto. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM

Mrs. Howard, 92, of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, January 9 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in Alabama on October 29, 1932 to Johnnie and Addie Owens Jackson.

She chose Jesus! We never stop existing. One day we will all stand before the Judgment Seat of God. We have all sinned. Even one sin is enough to keep you out of Heaven. You cannot be good enough on your own. Jesus offers to take your place so that God the Father sees Jesus' perfect, sinless life instead of our sinful lives. Choose Jesus! The alternative is endless suffering and pain. Not choosing is still a choice. She chose Jesus! She is loved and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dorris Howard; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jessie and Myrtle Howard; two grandsons, Adam Howard and Andy Higginbotham; a brother, Johnny "Olee" Jackson; a son-in-law, Kenny Tanksley; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Nell Reeves and Ruby Dell Douglas.

Survivors include her three sons, David Howard (Sandy), Jerry Howard (Joyce), and Johnny Howard (Janet); four daughters, Audrey Brent (Jakie), Susan Tanksley, Stacey Howard, and Amy Cannon (Joey); 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Delora McCaffrey; a brother, A.J. Jackson; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
