Cheryl Juanita Smith's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Cheryl Smith will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Bro. David Boyd will officiate at the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Mrs. Smith, 60, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from life on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at SW MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. She was born on July 20, 1957, in Yazoo City, MS, to Juan and Myrtis Burkhaulter Smith. She was of the Baptist faith; worked for many years as a waitress; and enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by parents, Juan and Myrtis Burkhaulter Smith.
Survivors include daughters, Kristi Lane Mohon and Amy Nicole Hoover and husband Travis; sons, Larry Dewayne McCaffrey and wife Danna, and Jeffrey Glen Laird; brother, Lonnie Smith and wife Neece; sisters, Anna Airhart and husband Ambrose, Jolene Smith and spouse, Mickey; grandchildren, Zach Mohon, Kristin Smith, Adrianna Laird, Kirsten Brister, Hayden McCaffery, Derryn Brister, Haylea McCaffery, Kimberly Adams, Riley Laird, John Mohon, Savannah Laird, Dylan Mohon, Blake Wallace, Logan Smith, David Usry, and Larry Hoover; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Green, Chris Kyzar, Zach Mohon, Denny Brister, Travis Hoover, Sammy Smith and Logan Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Terry, Kevin Terry, John Mohon and Blake Wallace.
