Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Miller Hutson, Sr. will be on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson, MS at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in Sylvarena Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Stuart Givens and Bro. Tom McCormick will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Sylvarena Baptist Church on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
Mr. Hutson, 69, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his residence in Wesson, MS, with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 11, 1946 in Wesson, MS, to Wilmer C. and Elene Ritchie Hutson. He was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson, MS, and worked for many years as a truck driver with Croft Metals, Frito Lay, and Wal-Mart. He was the owner and operator of C. M. Hutson Trucking. He was a professional truck driver. He received numerous awards for his driving skills and competing in truck rodeos, and for driving over ten million miles accident free. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his horses. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Wilmer C. and Elene Ritchie Hutson; and brother, Wilmer B. Hutson.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Evelyn Louise Hutson; daughter, Tina Louise Hutson Rutland of Terry, MS; son, Carroll "Mann" Hutson, Jr., and wife Melissa of Wesson, MS; sisters, Joy Wesbrook, Gloria Millwood, Shirley Hennington, Marilyn Britt, Rita Fuller, Ginene Walker and Dixie Thornton; brother, Randy G. Hutson; grandchildren, Lacey Rutland, Kacey Rutland, Matt Lenard, Jackie Hutson Edwards, Austin Hutson, Tyler Hutson and Brenham Hutson; great grandchildren Brianna Rutland, Kameran Rutland, Lane McManus, Wyatt McManus, Jaxon McManus, Rayne McManus and Miles Lenard; and a host of family and friends.
