Funeral services for Mrs. Carol Ann Allmon Duggar will be on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Union Church Presbyterian Church in Union Church, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Union Church Cemetery. Dr. Joe Martin and Bro. Billy Joe Deer will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Monday, July 23, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Union Church Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Duggar, 69, of Union Church, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born on May 8, 1949, in Sikeston, MO, to Webster "Web" and Virgene Poinsett Allmon. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Christ United Methodist Church; was a graduate of St. Dominic's School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; worked as a cardiovascular surgery nurse and later as a Nurse Manager for Inpatient Services for Hospice Ministries, Inc. in Ridgeland, MS; and owned and operated a retail bridal shop in Brookhaven and later relocated the store to Jackson.
She was a member of the Fayette Garden Club and the St. Dominic Medical Wives Auxiliary; served as chairman of hospitality for the USA International Ballet Competition for many years; and enjoyed their time as members of the Carriage Association and traveling to combined driving events with their Friesian horses. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Dr. Perry N. Duggar; and father, Webster "Web" Allmon.
Survivors are her mother, Virgene Poinsett Allmon; brother, Tommy Allmon and wife Jodie of Union Church, MS; children, Patty Duggar Gibson, Greg Duggar and Brad Duggar; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Oncology staff at UMMC.
