Mr. Smith, 70, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on July 19, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 9, 1954 to Ernest and Mamie Dell Smith. Andy had a genuine love for all of life that he spread to everyone that he met; when you met him you walked away with a smile. He loved music and dancing. He collected anything and everything. He loved nature; his family never knew when he would show up at the door with a freshly picked bouquet of wildflowers or a fishing pole on his shoulder, ready to go fishing with his brother, Leo, and buddy, George. He loved his town and neighbors and left his mark on Brookhaven with the many signs he painted throughout his years in business. He also had a love for cars, no matter what kind; to him, they were all racecars! But, the thing he loved most of all was his family and spending his time with them – especially over a good meal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Hope Smith; his brothers Roger Smith, Dale Smith, and David Smith; and his sisters Viola Ray Reeves and Mercedes Dunaway; and special brother-in-law and friend, Andrew Falvey.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice Smith, Piper Allred (Drayton), and Reagan Smith; a son, Ruston Watts and his family; grandchildren, Corey Smith, Peyton Byers, Joli Allred, and Mayzlee Killingsworth; his girlfriend, Danyelle Owens and her children, Maggie, Rhegan and Levi Owens; his brother, Leo Smith (Kay); and a sister, Janice Falvey.
