Carl Casper
Cronin, Jr.
June 4, 1930 – July 22, 2023
Mr. Carl Casper "Bug" Cronin, 93, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 4, 1930, in Loyd Star community, MS, to Carl Casper Cronin, Sr. and Mary Dorcas Britt Cronin. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Red Star Ward). He was a loving husband, father, PawPaw, great-grandfather, and friend.
Bug was a "Jack of all Trades." He was an electrician, plumber, carpenter. He read light meters, and worked for Lincoln Rural Water Association as a one man show. His final career was in water line construction with Greenbriar Construction. Bug retired four times before finally retiring to play in his shop, hunt for and polish rocks, and create copper trees. Bug also served much of his lifetime in church callings from scoutmaster to Bishop.
Bug was preceded in death by his parents Carl Casper Sr. and Mary Dorcas Britt Cronin; wife, Glory Rose Cronin; brothers, William Arthur Cronin, Francis Cronin, Germaine Cronin; sisters, Lois Pearl McDavid and Joan Arc Duncan; children, Cynthia Jean Cronin and Dudley Joseph Cronin.
Survivors are his son, Eric Ivan Cronin and daughter, Nadine Cronin Sones (Randall); daughter-in-law, Tiffany Cronin; all of Wesson, MS.; Grandchildren, Amanda King (Jared), Sabrina Cronin (Chris), Erica Davis (Kenny), Randy Sones (Hope), Jesse Sones (Sarah), Ellen Clark (Steven), Danielle Hite (Zach), Carl Cronin (Miranda), Brian Cronin (Crystal), Brandon Cronin (Karla), Autumn Giddens (Tanner); 31 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Laveena Cronin, Chiki Stott and Marieta Sanchez. He had 2 special daughters, Marijane Archibald and Judy Boyte; and and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Deaconess Hospice, Silver Cross Nursing Home and KDMC.
