A memorial visitation celebrating the life of Ms. Callie Michell Wroten Owen was held at O'Zion Baptist Church in Meadville, MS from 10:00 AM until noon on Wednesday, November 10, 2023.

Ms. Callie Michell Owen ,55, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on November 4, 2023. She was born on May 26, 1968, in Baton Rouge, LA, to James E. Wroten Sr. and

Betty Smith Wroten. She was a member of O'Zion Baptist Church; worked for many years as a Registered Nurse; and enjoyed talking and visiting with family, especially her mother. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her father, James E. Wroten Sr; two children, Jeremy Owen and Courtney Lynn Owen.

Survivors are her mother, Betty Smith Wroten Foreman (Gary); children, Joshua Alexander Owen (Trudee), Vincent Owen, Amber Owen, and Ashley Robison (Jacob); siblings, Jimmy Wroten (Vonda); grandchildren, Lanna, Lillian, Liam, Conner, Arya, Alexa, Hunter, Joshua Jr., and Amber; her nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
