Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. C M Terry will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Heuck's Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. Greg Warnock will be officiating the service. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

Mr. Terry, 92, passed from this life on Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence in Brookhaven, MS. He was born on June 27, 1924 in Sontag, MS to Grover Cleveland Terry and Maggie Coker Terry. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven and the Cecil Rhodes Sunday School Class.

Mr. C M was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and suffered injuries from enemy fire defending his family and country. He was a Mason, member of Eastern Star and a Shriner.

He was a beloved and dedicated husband, father and grandfather, leaving a legacy of faith, Christian values, hard work and dedication to family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 54 years, Reba Floyd Terry; wife of 18 years, Dorothy Lofton Terry; brother James L. Terry; sisters Vivian Case and Johnnie Hansen.

Survivors are his daughters, Judy Terry of San Antonio, TX and Sandra Gerald and husband Charles of Brookhaven; sisters June Rushing of Brookhaven and Margaret Woods of Moultrie, AL; grandchildren, Clint Gerald and wife Karla of Brookhaven, Terri G. Lowery and husband Tony of Sumrall, MS; four great grandchildren , Megan and Tucker Gerald of Brookhaven and Tyler and Alexis Lowery of Sumrall; step son Monroe Lofton and wife Lynda of Sumrall and step daughter Hilda Stephens of Star, MS; four step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church building fund.
