Funeral services for Brenda Sydney May Sanders will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Big Springs Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the church. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Brenda S. Sanders, 75, of Grenada, MS passed from this life on October 5, 2024. She was born in Brookhaven, MS on October 25, 1948 to Mr. R. S. May and Mrs. Louise Foster May. She enjoyed quilting, making flower arrangements, cake decorating and making jelly. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. Her children and grandchildren (birth and adopted) were her greatest joy in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.S. May; her husband Thomas T. Sanders; sister Barbara Wyland; and two sisters-in-law, Rosemary May and Rocella May.

Survivors include her best friend and cousin Mavis Flemming; daughter, Amy  Coon Durr (Mark), sons Jamie Durr, Brian Durr (Sally), and Trey Sanders (Lauren); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth May and Rusty May; sister-in-law Inez Osmun; and a host of nieces and nephews.
