Mr. Smith, 68, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from life on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at SW MS Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. He was born on August 29, 1949, in Brookhaven, MS, to Leroy and Edith (Smith) Smith. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church; worked as a foreman at Dickerson and Bowen; and enjoyed working on his lawnmower, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by Leroy and Edith (Smith) Smith; and brother, Roger Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Abigail Smith; sister, Peggy Smith Foster of Brookhaven, MS; sister-in-law, Juanita Buie Smith of McCall Creek, MS; daughters, Alice Kennedy and husband Chris, and Amanda Smith Warren both of Brookhaven, MS; sons, Brad Smith and wife Charlie, and Bruce Smith both of Brookhaven, MS; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
