Bobby Ray Ballard Sr., 82, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on January 12, 2024 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. He was born on January 8, 1942 in Mississippi to May Noah Ballard and Bessie Margaret Foster Ballard.

Mr. Ballard was a veteran of U.S. Air Force where he served in The Vietnam War. He was an electrician by trade. He enjoyed collecting old coins. He was a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Smith Ballard of over 58 years; children Mary Ballard, Wayne Jordan, Michael Ballard, Brenda Buckridge, Linda Jones, Bobby Ballard, Jr and James Ballard; Grandchildren Michael Ray Ballard, Nicole Ballard, George Ballard, Natasha Ballard, Ryan Ballard, Rebekah Ballard, Joshua Jones, Christopher Jones, Jacob Buckridge, Ashley Buckridge, Andrew Ballard, Kaelyn Ballard, Haven Ballard and Brianna Ballard; and great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
