Memorial services for Mrs. Beverly Jean Hughes will be on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (894 Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM. Bro. Jeff Davis will be officiating the services. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Mrs. Hughes, 60, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at CountryBrook Living Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 3, 1957 in Crystal Springs, MS, to Wade Delmore Matthews and Annie Laura Baldridge Matthews. She enjoyed going to garage sales and animals. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward (Curley) Hughes; her parents; her son, Thomas Wayne Blalock; and her brother, Montgomery Wade Matthews.

Mrs. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Stacy Etheridge and Chasity Blalock; her brothers, Johnny Matthews and Ronnie Matthews; her sisters, Betty Hill, Sue Marion, and Donna Steele; and 7 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
