Obituary

Betty Ann Williams, 84 of Brookhaven, MS passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, November 14, 1940 in Whitfield, Mississippi.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home in 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven, Mississippi. John Hart will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-833-1441


Betty was married to John Loyd Williams for 57 years. She was a loyal employee of Delphi for 29 years until she retired in 2007. She spent her retirement years enjoying her family and recently welcomed a new great-great granddaughter. She also loved sitting outside watching the hummingbirds while drinking coffee.


She was preceded in death by her husband, John Loyd Williams;  father, Alton George Brister;  mother, Annie Bell Townsend Brister;  brother, Glen Brister; Son in Law, Lester Lowry.


Survivors include her daughters, Tammy S. Williams Smith (Shayne) and Robin D. Willliams Lowry;  grandsons, Greg Nettles (Carrie), Justin Williams (Patricia), Adam Smith and Wesley Smith;  granddaughters, Brandi Williams Case (Ray Joe) of Brookhaven, MS, Madison Lowry Russell (Caleb) and Christina Parker;  great grandsons, Wyatt Case, Raylan Case, Cash Nettles, Mason Chavis and Corbin Smith;  great granddaughters, Anabelle Case Case (Laramie), Abbie Case, Makaylee Nettles, Lilly Nettles, Sydney Williams, Aiden Smith, Ava Baker and Breanna Baker; great great granddaughters: Willow Case and Adeline Case.


Pallbearers will be Ray Joe Case, Wyatt Case, Laramie Case, Caleb Russell, Greg Nettles, Shayne Smith, Mason Chavis, and Raylan Case.
