She was born in Brookhaven, MS on November 13, 1960, and raised there by her parents, Eddie Sexton Furr and Eula Mae Ashworth Furr. Mrs. Betty had four children, Lawanda, Cassie, Rachel, and Shawn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eula and Eddie Furr; brothers, Bobby Ashworth and Henry Furr; a sister, Shirley Furr; and great-nephews, Jojo Lodrigue and Kayden Mohon.
Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cassie Williams (husband, Dewayne), daughter; Rachel Clay (husband, Christopher); son, Shawn Williams (girlfriend, Tonya); grandchildren, Destini Williams, Mallorie Smith, Malaysia Smith, Haley Stinson, Callie, Innocent and Epiphany Allison. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellie Mohon and Thelma Swan; her nieces, Angel Mohon, Tessa Walker, Summer Lodrigue, and a host of great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Last but not least, she leaves behind her long-time companion, friend, and step-dad to her children for 20 years Earl Upton.
Betty loved to listen to music and watch her cowboy westerns on TV. She often spoke what was on her mind! (Lol), and she would always make you laugh, and she loved everyone!
Thank you to MidSouth Happy Living for allowing her son-in-law, Christopher Clay, to be her caregiver for many years. Their bond was unbreakable. Also, thank you to Deaconess Hospice for the past couple of years of care given to our mom; especially to her main nurse, Mrs. Viriginia! I don't know what we would have done without you!
Fly high mama, we got it from here!
