Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Lee Smith will be on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 83, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Magee General Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was born on July 4, 1936, in Brookhaven, MS, to Willis J. Dunaway and Florene Hazel Williams Dunaway. She was a member of Union Baptist Church; worked for many years as a Child Care Worker at First Baptist Wee-Care; and enjoyed traveling with friends to see the beauty of this world, being with her two granddaughters whom she loved dearly, and her heart has always been at Union Baptist Church where many family members are buried. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Cornelius Marcell (Mutt) Smith; her sister, Bobbie Dunaway Rushing.

Survivors are her daughter, Cindy Lee Laird and husband Billy; her son, Stacy Marcell Smith; grandchildren, Candace Lee Duckworth and husband C. J. Duckworth, and Shelby Lee Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
