Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Hux will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven, MS, at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson, MS. Bro. Anthony Yarborough and Bro. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at Brookhaven Funeral Home on November 15, 2017, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Hux, 67, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven, MS, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 21, 1949 in Hazlehurst, MS, to Berry F. and Mary Maude Mullins Bridges. She worked for many years as a cook and cashier; was a member of Pearlhaven Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS; and enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Berry F. and Mary Maude Mullins Bridges; husbands, James Delton Wallace, Jr., and James Poz Hux; daughter, Theresia Ann Wallace Norris; step-son, James Peanut Hux; brother, Charlie Berry Bridges; and grandson, Zachary Rivers Norris.
Survivors are her sons, Bro. Jamie Wallace and wife Kim of Roxie, MS, Darron Wallace and wife Heather of Brookhaven, MS, and Tootlum Hux and wife Melissa of Brookhaven, MS; her sister, Betty Bridges Womack and husband Kary of Topeka, MS; her brother, John Bridges of Brookhaven, MS; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a special friend and roommate, Mildred Smith; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Ryan Wallace, Cole Wallace, Andrew Norris, Hunter Hux, Michael Chase Norris, Trace Wallace, Brock Wallace, Austin Norris, and Blake Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barbara Ann Hux's name may be made to Pearlhaven Baptist Church.
