Mrs. Halstead, 61, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 13, 1955 in Crystal Springs, MS, to Winfred Holliday and Lottie Kees Holliday. She was disabled at the time of her death but had previously worked in the retail business. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, making flower arrangements and cooking. Mrs. Halstead was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her daughters Rachel Meche and Sheila Wallace; son, Bo Thames and wife Krystal, all of Bogue Chitto, MS ; grandchildren, Douglas Thames, Donovan Wallace, Dalton Thames, Breanna Meche, Angel Bates, Tiffanie Thames and Dorian Davis; brothers, Charlie Holliday, Larry Delaughter and wife Diane, and Sam Delaughter; sister, Betty Benton; and a host of family and friends.
