Arthur Lamar Whittington, 82, of Smithdale passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. He was born Wednesday, September 18, 1940 in McCall Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Nancy Virginia Whittington; by two children; Timothy Daniel Whittington and Rebecca Ann Whittington; and by his siblings.

Survivors include his son, John Whittington of Smithdale, MS; one granddaughter, Kera Whittington; extended family and friends.

Private family arrangements will take place at a later date.
