Graveside services for Anne Savell McGee will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Ruth Cemetery in Ruth, MS, at 2:30 PM. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Anne S. McGee, 79, of Brookhaven, MS, passed from this life on April 21, 2022.  She was born on July 30, 1942, in Clinton, MS, to Vernon and Helen Savell. She was a member of the Baptist Church and also the Church of Christ in her later years. She was a math school teacher for over 20 years before becoming a Postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service. Anne loved having a garden, growing flowers and sewing. She loved sewing most of all. She loved to tell stories of her past and the many memories she had of family, friends, students and co-workers.

Preceding her in death were her parents Vernon and Helen Savell; grandparents Mom and Pop Savell; and brother Johnny Savell.

Survivors are her sons, George McGee (Kellie) and Andrew McGee (Marsha); brothers David Savell (Pamela) and Randy Savell (Toni); grandchildren, Garrett McGee, Sterling McGee, Johua McGee (Jalyn), Caleb McGee (Ester), Seth McGee and Joesph McGee; great-grandchildren Lilly McGee and Hattie McGee; and a host of family and friends.
