Obituary

Funeral services for Allie Theodosia "Dosia" Godbold will be on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Brookhaven Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with interment in Wright's Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, February 4, from 12:30 – 2:00 PM.

Dosia, 98, as she was called, passed from this life on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1925 in Sallis, MS (Attala County) to Henry Felix and Annie Laurie Miller.

She loved the Lord and her church family. She was a faithful member of Wright's Church for many years until it closed; she then attended Bethel Community Church.

She loved cooking, gardening, and taking care of her cattle. Her dogs were very special to her. She could make the best tea-cake cookies and will be remembered for them.

She was a member of the Franklin County Cattlemen Association, Homemakers Club and American Hereford Association. She worked Franklin County Memorial Hospital for 22 years as medical record librarian. After her husband passed away, she continued the farm and raised Registered Polled Hereford Cattle.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wilmer Godbold; siblings, Ann McDonald, Felix Miller, Thomas Miller and Bobby Miller.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Gregory (Grant); grandchildren, Joni Ingram (Jason), Janna Wollfarth (Brandon), Jeri Trussell (Blake); five great-grandchildren, Allie Beth Ingram (her name sake), Kaylee Wollfarth, Jace Ingram, Colton Wollfarth, and Maris Trussell; sisters; a brother and numerous family and friends.
